Bangor

How long have you been cycling?
14 years

How did you get into cycling?
I did it for motivation after beating cancer.

In 2014 I was 10 years clear and became the first person from Ireland, North or South, to enter the Tour Divide MTB race, the longest MTB race in the World, raising 6000 pounds for Marie Curie.

The route

Not enough

How well prepared were you for the hills?
Pretty well

Did you train specifically for the Man of Sperrin route?
Yes loads of hills

What do you remember most about Man of Sperrin 2017?
Fantastic Marshalling and facilities

Yes can’t wait

Not to stop on Benbradagh
